Hi I'm Skyler!

I work for a software company, studies at college and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Skyler and I am 24 years old. I am currently studying at a University in hopes to receive a major in Technology Management. I currently also work full time as a manager at software company and I love it! I manage a technical support team at this software company which allows me to communicate and work with a team as well as with customers. I love the interaction and helping those who need the technical help get it and understand the software the company I work for sells. Its been a great experience and its helping me learn more and more about corporate america. My hobbies include running, anything with technology, and hanging out with my family and friends. I love to run and am always training for a 1/2 marathon. My dad keeps me motivated and always signs me up for races to keep me going. Running has been a way for me to relieve stress and build relationships in my family. I hope to one day run a full marathon. Technology is a huge part of my life as well. I love seeing and playing with all the new computers, phones, cameras etc. when they come out. I love using any multimedia software to edit videos or photos. I love seeing how technology can manipulate something and make it fun and exciting. I look forward to the day when I can use these hobbies with my future wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or "Mormon Church." My parents taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ from when I was young. This included the Bible and the Book of Mormon and many other wonderful things. When I got older I always knew this church was Gods church. I knew from the beginning because I knew my parents were honorable people. I knew they would not lie to me. Because of that I took the church and its teachings seriously. As I grew up and began to mature I felt deep down with 100% confidence I was in the right place. Its teachings, the way it operates, and the spirit it has confirmed to me its true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has kept me on a good path in my life. Its kept me a good person. Its taught me how to work hard, to be humble and appreciative, to serve others, and most of all its taught me about a father in Heaven that loves me and how I have savior who died for me. Knowing these things has kept me happy, successful, and has taught me my purpose in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best possible "Me" I can be. This does not mean I am perfect or that I don't make mistakes. I make many mistakes and my faith helps me understand them and improve on them. I try everyday to be patient with others and do all I can to help them out. I do what I can to learn from them and I hope they too can learn from me. Faith can be a complicated thing. It can be hard to define or explain. However as I go out to work or to school my faith keeps me motivated and focused. It gives me the big picture on my life and because of that I feel happier and better. I recently returned from a mission in Denmark for my church. I was a missionary for 2 years. I went out every day and shared what I believed in to those that would listen. My faith makes me happy and I want to do all I can to share it. Today I live my faith by being a good example using all the attributes I learn from my church, or more importantly from the father in heaven.

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are like many others who put religion and faith in high priority in their lives. They believe in Jesus Christ and do all the can to follow his example. Though they do their best, at times it can be hard. Mormons do all the can and at times, like many others, make mistakes. However they recognize the power of Jesus Christ and know that their mistakes can be forgiven. To Mormons their religion means a lot and because of that they share there faith with all that will listen. Mormons are very active in there faith and strive every day to live its teachings.
