Hi I'm Karen A. Unander

I'm a Mormon. I'm a daughter, sister, and an Aunt.

About Me

I was born in Pocatello Idaho and moved to Utah when I was a year old and have lived here since. I am a graduated from Weber State University with my bachelors degree. I currently teach preschool and drive the school age and kindergarten children to school. In which I love working with children. I just finished taking classes at the Ogden LDS Institute in which I loved it. When i was taking institute classes I took chorale in which by being in it I have sang from many apostles and even President Thomas S. Monson in October 2011 in a regional Stake Conference in Ogden, Utah. I was also able to sing in two different CES (Church Educational Firesides) one in January of 2011 and in January of 2012. In the August of 2011 New Era magazine page 36 i had a quote published in the margin from signing in Arise" The Youth spectacular. There are also many more things that i have done. I like to get out and do many things with both my family and friends. Some of the things I like to do is singing, camping, hiking, reading books, swimming, bowling, cross stitch, watching good clean movies, coloring, spending time with my family and friends, and many more things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I gained my testimony on my own. I can honestly say i would not be the person that i am today without the church in my life. I know that the church is true, and that the scriptures are true also. We do have a living prophet that lives on the earth today and leads and guides the church.

How I live my faith

I currently serve has a teacher in the nursery which is working with children ages 18 months to 3 years old. I also serve as an visiting teacher in which i go out and visit with sisters and make sure they are doing okay

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Karen A. Unander
We have three meetings in our services. Usually the first meeting is Sacrament meeting in which we partake of the sacrament and other members of our wards give talks to us to help us learn more about the gospel. The next meeting we have is Sunday school in which we study from the scriptures and the last is Priesthood men/ Relief Society women in which we learn the teachings of the Presidents of the church. The children ages 18months to 12 years during Sunday school and Priesthood/Relief Society goes to Primary. The youth ages 12-18 goes to Sunday school then young women and young men. In the front of each and every chapel on the building it says Visitors Welcome. Feel free to come into our churches. Show more Show less
