Eric: Mormon.

Hi I'm Eric

About Me

I am a husband of a beautiful wife and a father of 1 wonderful daughter. I am an elementary school teacher. I love to read non fiction history, go on long walks, and researching genealogy. I also enjoy baking and I am a huge college football fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Lord and have found peace in this church. I have learned the answer to life three critical questions: Where did I come from?, Why am I here?, and Where will I go when I die? I have also learned that families are forever.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

We go on missions to share what we believe because we love others. This church has brought us such wonderful blessings, happiness, and opportunities that we want to share them with others. The Savior has died for our sins. He lives and his church is on the earth today led by a living prophet. We feel compelled by our love for our fellow men to share this good news.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

One frequently asked question is what happens to those who die without hearing of Christ or having the chance to accept him. We believe God has a plan for those good people. We believe that those who did not hear the gospel in this life will hear it in the next life and they will have the chance to accept it. We do genealogy to find our ancestors and be baptized for them. This "baptism for the dead" can be accepted or rejected by our ancestors. It is still up to them. However, our genealogy and baptism for the dead gives them the chance to receive the full blessings of the gospel even though they did not have the chance during this life.

How I live my faith

I try to live the best I can. I try to treat others as I hope to be treated. I attend church and try to serve in any way that I can. It is through loving and serving others that I show my love for God.
