Hi I'm David

I'm 53 years old and I work for an aerospace company in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and graduated from the University of Utah. I spent 11 years as an Air Force officer. After leaving the military we settled in Arizona. My hobbies over the years have included baseball/sofball, golf, hiking, camping, and watching college football on TV. I have been married 31 years to a wonderful woman and we are the parents of four children and have six grandchildren. I currently work as a Contracts Manager for a large aerospace company. I now enjoy doing Family History work to include genealogical reseach, biographical research and personal biographies. I like to garden, but the Arizona weather wreaks havoc on my efforts

Why I am a Mormon

I fervently believe that our Father in Heavan has a plan for us and that he has revealed that plan through his prophets both in earlier times and in these days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that he has restored his church in these days for our benefit so that we can gather together and strengthen each other. There are so many benefits and blessing that come from living according to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I earnestly strive to live according to the teachings of Christ to include being honest in my dealings with my fellow man and looking to serve others that may have needs that I can fill. I love going to church and working in the church as the Family History Consultant where I help members of the church, or anyone else, to search out their ancestry to learn about the legacy that their ancestor have given them. I also am a home teacher for three families within the ward, which means I visit them in their homes once a month and discuss a spiritual topic with them. I also look out for their temporal needs and provide service to them when required. The Lord stated that the two greatest commandments are to love the Lord and to love thy neighbor. That is my mission and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me fulfill that mission
