Hi I'm Alan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent law school graduate who loves spending my time with my 3 soon to be 4 children on the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was 10 years old, with my brother and sister. I was invited by friends to listen to the missionary lessons. It was at that time I felt that a missing part of my life was filled. Later, I read the Book of Mormon and decided to pray about it to know whether it was true. When I finished my prayer I had an overwhelming calmness come over me which indicated to me that the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith was a prophet.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things to do is share the gospel and teach others about the Savior. I have been fortunate to share the gospel as my primary calling in the church for the last 10 years.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptisms for the dead are an integral part of our worship. We believe that God is a loving God and wants each of us, his children, to return to him. Because each of us sin and fall short of the glory of God, He gives us many opportunities to repent. We must be baptized though, to return to live with Him. There have been and will continue to be many on the earth who never had the opportunity to hear about the Savior, baptism for the dead or by proxy allows this commandment to be fulfilled for all and those who have had this work performed on their behalf may chose to accept or reject it. Just another example of how many opportunities He gives us to return to Him. Show more Show less
