Hi I'm Mandy

I'm a financial analyst, a free-spirited lover of life...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a financial analyst working for a large agricultural company in Idaho. I adore my husband and dogs. I believe everything is better when you are outdoors, life is to be celebrated, happiness is a choice, and everyone deserves to be loved. I thrive on spontaneity and happiness. I live the dream.

Why I am a Mormon

I constantly want to become a better me. The gospel shows me how to love deeper, live better, and come unto Christ. I love how simple things are, how you are encouraged to pray and develop a true relationship with our Father in heaven, and how instantly you are part of a group of imperfect people striving for excellence.

How I live my faith

I love others, enjoy God's creations, and strive to continually be better. I get to share my love of God with awesome eight and nine year old kids each Sunday, it's the best!

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Mandy
We are advised to refrain from certain things such as coffee, tea, and alcohol, as well as other addictive substances. It is all our choice, we are not forced to do anything. I believe that in this life our power to choose things for ourselves is critical, and by forming habits and addictions we are giving up that power. Besides that, those substances have proven to be bad for our health anyways. As for eating habits, we are encouraged to eat a balanced diet with everything in moderation and to exercise. All of these things is to help us live healthier, and more fully enjoy this life. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Mandy
Absolutely! The full name of the 'Mormon' church, is 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints.' We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I perceive the only reason we are questioned about Christianity would be because we do not believe in the Trinity. We believe that God the Father, and his son, Jesus Christ are two separate beings. While they are one in purpose, they have separate bodies. Mormons are definitely Christians because we study and live the gospel centered on Jesus Christ and His teachings. Show more Show less
