Hi I'm Paula

I'm a mother. I'm a wife. I'm a musician. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mother of 9 children, with 6 children still at home. My oldest son and his wife recently had a baby so I just became a grandma! My next two sons are serving missions for the LDS church in Latvia and Ukraine. I miss them a lot but I absolutely know they are doing the right thing. I graduated from college with a degree in violin performance. I have taught violin lessons and played in different orchestras but right now I'm concentrating on raising my children. I believe that raising children is the most important thing I can do right now so I'm trying to give it my best and complete effort. My musical training is currently being used in practicing the piano and violin with my children. In my little bit of spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, and sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Christ, I want to follow Him and I believe this is His church. On a practical level, the teachings of the church help me and my family every day. The more I live my faith, the stronger it becomes.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and trying to actively participate by singing in choir, among other things. I really like to pray and feel a personal relationship with God. I also remind myself of His words by reading the holy scriptures. In addition, I go with an assigned partner to visit two other women every month. I enjoy these opportunities to make a difference in others' lives.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Paula
The Church grows because it produces good fruit. "By their fruits, ye shall know them." Matthew 7:20 Two of my sons are currently serving missions in Latvia and Ukraine. We miss them while they're gone but I'm so glad they have the opportunity to share the good news of Christ's gospel with others. When people are baptized and keep the commandments of God, they become happier and have more purpose in their lives. Show more Show less
