Hi I'm Savannah

I love to play games with my family and sew almost anything. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church my whole life. I am a mother of two beautiful girls and one son. I am a wife to a very loving husband. I love to sew, scrapbook, read, cook/bake, the outdoors, playing games and I love spending time with my family. I have lived in Utah most of my life and hope to stay since this is where mine and my husbands families are. I am a stay at home mom, but i work for my parents pizza place a day or two a week when my husband can be home with the kids. Someday I hope to go to school and become a pharmacy tech or a family councilor.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I didn't know it was true or how much it meant to me before I moved out of my parents home to be a nanny in Weston, Connecticut. There I didn't have any family to lean on. As I was back east I went to a singles ward and found many friends. They helped me to forget that I was alone so far from my family. As I kept going to church, reading my scriptures and saying my prayers I realized that I wasn't alone. I knew that my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ were there with me. I knew that they loved and cared about me. I became closer to Them like I never had been before. As I kept the commandments and stayed active in the church I noticed that I was happier. I looked at all my friends from high school who didn't stay close to the gospel and their lives were turned upside down. I am grateful for all the great examples in my life, who helped me stay on the path. I am a Mormon because I found true happiness through living the gospel principles.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things is visiting the sisters. I love taking meals to those who need a break because I know I need one every once in a while. I love to cook good meals so it is a way to share my talents. I have also done musical numbers for activities. The reason Heavenly Father gave us talents was to help others and build up His kingdom here on the earth.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is our Heavenly Father. He has a body of flesh and bones. He loves us and cares for us like a father would. He wants only the best for us. We can pray to Him and He will be there to listen and help us with our trials. He will lift us and carry us through our hard times. He is there reaching for us we just need to reach back and take his hand to lean on. I know that as I have learned that I am His daughter, a daughter of a king, I can do great things if I will only try and if I need His help He will be right there beside me helping me to achieve my greatest goals. Do Mormons only help Mormons?

In the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are taught all our lives to love one another. This commandment is not limited to just members of the church. We are taught to love everyone no matter what. We look out for our neighbors and help when help in needed. I love the church in that it looks at the person not the religion. We do what we can to help those that need it who ever they are and whatever they need. Show more Show less
