Hi I'm Bruce

I'm a retired school teacher.

About Me

Living in Minnesota, I love to hunt and fish. I'm also an avid sports fan, so I love the Twins and Vikings. My wife and I have four children and eight grandchildren. They give me joy and light up my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Lutheran and appreciate the religious tradition my parents and grandparents gave me. However, when I met the missionaries, I learned there was something more to religion than one hour a week on Sunday. I read the Book of Mormon. I prayed to know if it was true. For me, the promise contained in Moroni was fulfilled time and time again as I prayed about the things I was reading. There is no doubt that Joseph Smith was God's chosen Prophet to restore His kingdom in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I've served in many callings over the years. Right now my wife and I are serving in the mission office right here in Minnesota. I am the vehicle coordinator, and my wife is assigned new referrals and redirects mail. We assist the Mission President in many ways, and we especially love the interaction with all the wonderful young men and women serving full time missions for the church.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is the mind and will of the Lord to all who choose to read and pray about it. It promises those who read it, with a sincere heart, will know for sure that it is God's word. Historically, the book is a record of a fallen people who lived on this continent. Thus, making it a historical record as well as a religious one. Show more Show less
