Hi I'm Elaine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I'm married and have one handsome little boy. I have a degree in Elementary Education. My husband is going to medical school here in Texas. We love watching sports, going camping, watching movies, hanging with family and friends, and going out to eat! I like swimming, running, and cooking. Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I have had spiritual convictions through the power of the Holy Ghost that the things I have been taught are true. As I strive to obey God's commandments and the principles of the gospel, I feel happiness and peace in my life! This church is the only church led by the Savior through a prophet and twelve apostles, like in the bible. God loves us just as much as he loved those who lived thousands of years ago. It only makes sense that He would still call a prophet to lead and teach us today! As a teenager, I saw how my religious values and beliefs protected me from harmful and destructive situations. My faith increases everyday as I see this gospel change not only my life, but the lives of others! The Savior loves each one of His children, and I know that He provides a way for everyone to return to live with Him. Through the gospel, I know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going. Since becoming a mother, I know that I would do anything for my son, and I want him to be happy. This is how our Father in Heaven feels for each one of us. He loves us so much that he gave His Son, Jesus Christ, so we might have eternal life and live with our families forever. The gospel teaches us how we can return to Him and live a more meaningful life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like our Savior Jesus Christ every day. This is not always easy, which is why I'm always using Christ's atonement and repenting. I just try each day to be the best version of myself! If I have a bad day, I can always pray for help and do better tomorrow:) I look for ways to serve others in my community and within my church. I serve on a committee in church that plans activities just for the women! It's so fun to have a night away to relax and feel the love of all the ladies who attend. This women's organization is called Relief Society. I also visit teach two young ladies every month where we share gospel messages, chat about life, and help each other through hard times. These ladies have become good friends and we rely on each other.
