Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a SoCal kid who loves the outdoors. I'm on my way to becoming a nurse. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in the desert of Southern California, I learned to enjoy the outdoors. I grew up riding motorcycles, camping, rock climbing and appreciating the beauty around us. Through out my life medical professionals have been a source of great inspiration to me as they have cared for those that I cherish most in life. That is part of the inspiration as to why I am currently studying to become a registered nurse, so that I may provide the hope for others that I am so thankful to have received.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I learn from a young age the reality of God and Jesus Christ, but along the way I seemed to had forgotten. When things in life got tough, I had forgotten where to turn for comfort. In a last resort I said a prayer, and received a reminder of the reality of the things I had known at a younger age. Since then, living life as Christ taught we should has been the proof for me. Everything in life makes a little more sense, and is a little easier to face head on when you can rely on the Savior and the plan He has for you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be of help to those around me. The Savior is the perfect example of service; one that I strive to be more like daily. As we come to know that we are all children of a Loving Heavenly Father, we develop this desire to serve those around us. I spent two years in Norway sharing what has brought me the greatest happiness in this life; the love of the Savior as an active part in my life. Now days I try and do the same thing by helping those who are in my path in my current situations.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a collection of writings from ancient prophets that witness of Jesus Christ; That He lives, is the Son of God, and that through His sacrifice we can live with Him and God again. It is named the Book of Mormon after one of the last prophets to added to the writings. God has provided it for us today as another witness of Jesus Christ, and as a means for everyone to know that the church established by Christ in His time has been restored in our day. What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

The Bible has been given to us by God through His prophets. They recorded what they were taught, and we have it today as means to teach about Him and how to follow His plan for us. We believe that God has given us scriptures through all of His prophets and apostles through out time, and the Bible is a part of the scriptures we have today. Show more Show less
