Hi I'm Kati

My name is Kati. Yes, I am a Christian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah with my husband and family. We have 4 children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a grandaughter and a step grandaughter. I have lived in different parts of Utah all my life and I love and appreciate so many of the good people that surround me. I perform audiology testing on newborn infants in both the well baby and newborn intensive care nurseries. I am pursuing my college education in the health care field. My hobbies and interests include homemaking, photography, gardening, vacationing to other parts of the United States, and spending as much time as possible with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have an unwavering testimony of my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that true happiness in life comes from following his commandments that were given to us for our happiness and protection. I am grateful for the oppoortunity to live on this earth, to be tested, and to become stronger for those trials that will come, and eventually find my way back to live with my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. I hope to be able to share my testimony with others who are seeking, to help them to come unto Christ and feel His love as I do each and every day.

How I live my faith

I am currently a gospel teacher for children, and a visiting teacher to women. I love my callings and appreciate other opportunities to serve as well. I enjoy attending church meetings each sabbath day with my family, and delight in seeing my children grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Partaking of the sacrament each week allows me to renew my baptismal covenants and helps me to move forward in life, and especially to look forward to the future with an eternal perspective no matter what trials I am currently facing. My Heavenly Father heals pain and speaks to my heart through the Holy Spirit with peace- even in the toughest situations. For this I am truly grateful. I feel so blessed to live so close to a Temple and I appreciate serving in His holy house.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I attribute the growth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the Holy Ghost. He speaks to the willing heart and mind in ways that others can only hope to. Each son and daughter of God chose to come here for a reason and a purpose. And each person born to this earth was born with the light of Christ. This light allows people to feel his love and know for themselves of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This light is also a gift with a purpose to help us return to Him. The gift of the Holy Ghost is given to each person after baptism-during thier confirmation. This gift allows us to have the Holy Ghost with us always. Regarding media influences such as music, movies, and written media- I often remind my children that everything on this earth comes from either the spirit of truth and light, or the spirit of darkness. I remind them that they should "choose wisely" so they are not decieved. There is God's way- and there is Satan's way. The Holy Ghost helps us discern right from wrong, and is the "comforter" whom we can rely on when we are in tune and open to the promptings of the holy spirit. I'm so grateful for this gift in my life. The Holy Ghost also allows those seeking for truth in religion to feel and know for themselves that the truths presented are part of Heavenly Fathers eternal plan for us. The growth of the church would not be possible without the promptings of the holy spirit and willing missionaries to serve Him here on earth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. This I know without any doubt. Show more Show less
