Hi I'm Nathan

I am an outdoor enthusiast, long distance runner, MBA student, and last but not last...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 26 year old, single, MBA student. Before returning to school, I worked in commercial real estate. I love the stage of life that I am in and am trying to use the time to expand my interests and understanding of the world around me. I love to run, road bike, go boating, play basketball, be with friends and family, and learn new things about business and current events.

Why I am a Mormon

While it is true that I was born into a Mormon family, that is not the reason for me remaining a member of this faith. I am a firm believer in the scripture "by their fruits ye shall know them Mathew 7:20." I have benefited from the fruits of the gospel. My family and I have been blessed by living the principle of the gospel and benefitted from the knowledge of why we're here, where we are from, and where we are going. I have had so many instances, large and small, when God has confirmed to me his love and the truthfulness of the Mormon Church. I feel that I have direction and better understanding of the events of life because of the doctrines of the church. I am not thrown off course by the temporary set backs that come because I understand my purpose here and what awaits me after this life. I know that God expects my best and then will make up the difference for my short comings. In short, I am a Mormon because I receive the sweet, peaceful confirmations that the church is true, which come every time I live by its principles.

How I live my faith

I am a member of a singles ward. Every Sunday I get together with other young adults that are about my age and in a similar station in life. We talk about our faith and what we are doing to come closer to Christ. During the week we get together to do fun things ranging from hiking in the outdoors to going to dinner. I feel that I have a built in support network as a member of the church. Where ever I am I know people that are ready and willing to help out. I love it!

Are Mormons Christians?

Christ is the central figure in our church. We believe that thru him we can be cleansed from our sins, be resurected, and ultimately return to our Heavenly Father. We learn of Him, we try to be like Him, and we seek to tell others about Him. Christ is the foundation that our church stands on. Show more Show less
