Hi I'm Pennie

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church when I was nine years old. My husband was in the Navy for 20 years. We have two sons.

About Me

My name Pennie. I am a wife a widow and the mother of two handsome, smart, funny, and talented sons. I am a prep cook at a restaurant. I love to take long walks and listen to all the beautiful birds. I love history and love to read history. I am passionate about our church's childrens organization. That is what I spend a great deal of time and energy on. I never get tired of teaching or listening to these children. They all feel like my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only thing that has the ring of truth. Have you ever heard something and immediately knew that it was true? I have. When I heard the gospel preached to our family in 1964 I knew immediately that it was true. I was only 9 at the time and yet it felt right.

How I live my faith

I work in the Primary of our church. This involves children 18 months to 11 years old. I have over the past 30 years taught every age group. It is always fun and spiritual to teach these children. How can it be so much fun and still be a spiritual experience? I'm not really sure all I can tell you is that it is the high point of my week.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is my father. I am his daughter. He is the father of my spirit. He is the father of your spirit. God loves me and knows me by name. He wants the very best for me. He wants me to have eternal life and exaltation. He wants that for you too! Show more Show less
