Hi I'm Jonathan Wharrad

I grew up in the Cotswolds England, I am a product developer and have been fortunate to travel a lot with my work.

About Me

I have been a member of this church for 25 years and it's been the source of the most life-focusing experiences. I'm married to a fantastic and supportive wife, with 2 wonderful children. I enjoy the outdoors, bikes, climbing and caving along with many other activities. I fit this in around running a business in computing, spending regular time in Taiwan & China. I also give up my time to support and run an International Search and Rescue charity to undertake life saving work in disaster zones.

Why I am a Mormon

Wow this is always a great question and why indeed! Well it's down to the never ending number of experiences that keep telling me within my heart that somthing about all that happens in my life is part of a plan. We all make our own choices on the way, for sure, but there is somthing there out of sight to our physical eyes, but not beyond the feeling of our hearts. I have seen and felt many wonderful "sign-post" experiences in my life which have helped to make the Gospel real for me. The one thing I can say is it's true and that the teachings of the Gospel focus my life on what is most important and help to explain the purpose of my existence here on earth. I have also heard too many other people's stories of their life and their beliefs, and learned of their life-time of dedication to the Gospel, not to realise there is somthing within its teachings of sufficient merit for everyone to investigate. Yes the history of this Church is out of this world, but what else would you expect from our Father in Heaven, our God, the Creator of all we know. To me there are 2 simple positions, this has to be 100% true or 100% false... ITS TRUE. Take a look for yourself, put it to the test and ask the Lord.

How I live my faith

By living it..... the rewards speak for themselves
