Hi I'm Nikki

I love living in new places, I am a wife and mother, a former teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 children and I live in Georgia. I love reading, traveling, exercising, blogging and dancing. I am a former high school English teacher and dance studio owner, but now I am staying at home full time to raise my children. I have lived in several places because of my husband serving as a doctor in the military. I love knowing that wherever I go there will be a "Mormon" family to greet me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two faithful Mormon parents. However, it wasn't until I was about 17 yrs. old that I came to know for myself that Joseph Smith really did restore Jesus Christ's church again on the earth and that The Book of Mormon was a real account of people who lived in both Israel and then on the American continent. I love the fact that in our church we are encouraged to receive our own witness of the truth and that we are entitled to personal revelation just as much as any leader is. I am curious and like asking questions, so this religion suits me well. The Book of Mormon teaches me how to be like Christ, and I feel a power and warmth when I read its pages. I have lived in several states and met many different people of faith, and what I realize is that Mormonism combines all of the good things I see in other Christian churches and then adds even more truth and knowledge, for example, a belief in a living prophet today just like in Biblical times. I can't imagine my life without the restored gospel and the knowledge that I am a literal spiritual daughter of a loving Heavenly Father that I can communicate with and receive spiritual direction from for me and my family.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving and watching over all of the women in our congregation and their families. I help organize meals for the sick, find clothing for the poor, visit those who are lonely and teach others how to come to Christ. I feel such a sense of peace and happiness from helping others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and we worship Him. We believe He suffered, died, and resurrected on our behalf, and that only through Him are we saved.  Show more Show less
