Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a high school English teacher. I'm a wife and the mom of three young boys. I am happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing in my life is my family. I have three young sons, and they are my priority. They are pure energy, and keep me very busy. My oldest son has severe autism, and his disabilities affect our lives in positive and negative ways. I try to raise my boys to be kind, patient and open-minded. I love to spend time with my family. I love creating mostly by crafting, and learning mostly through reading. My husband and I are both high school teachers. We try to fill our lives with things that make us happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born Mormon, and I was raised by kind, humble, giving parents. I can not recall any singular moment which I can credit with my full conversion and commitment to the LDS church and my faith. Instead, throughout my life I have felt my Heavenly Father's hand directing me and leading me down the paths I should take. I have found joy in living the principles of the gospel, and I have felt the Spirit testifying to me of the truthfulness of the principles of the gospel. Over my life, little by little, I have become fully committed to living my life as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love to know that by living as the Lord intends me to, I can be with my family forever. I love the feeling of the Spirit testifying of truth in the many forms which I encounter it. I love the understanding that we have a prophet here on earth to lead and direct us in our day. I love the testimony I have of our Heavenly Father's plan for all of us, as well as his plan for each of us. The gospel brings me joy and peace in this tumultuous world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in three major ways. First, I try to live a Christ-centered life. My parents are wonderful examples of quietly serving and giving to others, and each day I pray that I may do the same. I try to be an example to others and an instrument in the Lord's hand in all my roles in life. Additionally, I live my faith by teaching my sons in our home. We read scriptures together; we talk about Christ; we invite the Spirit into our homes. I hope that this influence reaches beyond our home to our children's classrooms and friends where they can be examples and instruments as well. Finally, I live my faith by serving within the church. Currently, I work with the youth, specifically the young women aged 14 and 15. I am with the girls on Sundays and on Wednesdays as they learn the gospel, bond, have fun and prepare for their futures. It is a blessing to work with these beautiful girls.
