Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in commercial real estate, leasing and managing shopping centers. I have worked in real estate for over 25 years and enjoy doing it. While a high school senior I took a class for my real estate license and passed. I was thrilled! Except for a few years when I worked in mortgage financing and banking I have always worked in real estate. I am married with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. If we had known how much fun grandkids are we would have had them first! I love to go camping and being in the outdoors. I am just learing how to fly fish and enjoy it very much even though I am not very good at it. I like to read and my wife gave me a Nook for Christmas. I have downloaed many books this year including many clasics by Mark Twain.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church. But I still had to find out for myself. I have taken the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon and pray and received a powerful feeling and the knoweldge that I knew it was true. One day I spent several hours reading key passages in the Book of Mormon, things that talk about Christ, salvation, items like that. During all of this time I had a prayer in my heart. At the end of this time I knelt down and poured out my soul to Heavenly Father asking for a witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I received this witness with a burning in my soul that is hard to explain. It left no doubt in my mind that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it is true. I know my Savior. I know that he is real. I know that He lives and that He loves me. That is a great comfort to me. During difficult times I know I can rely on HIm and His lvoe for me and my family. That strenghtens me and helps me carry out me daily activities.

How I live my faith

Today I get great satisfaction in serving and doing what I can do help in the church and thus help others. It is easy to give of my time and talents to help someone else. I have the opportunity now to work with the young men on the church. I have helped organize and carry out many scout camps, both long term and a simple overnight campout. During these campouts I enjoy teaching the young men about scouting and help them prepare as they work in scout advancements to ultimately receive their Eagle rank. At the same time we work with them on a spiritual nature to prepare them for life in general. Working with the young men and at many other times in my life we have done things of service to the community or individuals. These might come in the form of an Eagle Scout project like collecting books or food. But they also involve large activities benefiting the city where we live by planting trees, helping install fence posts or cleaning areas in need. I don’t consider these things as a burden but rather a time to serve my fellow man and thus serve my God.
