Hi I'm Carter

...Yep, you guessed it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in good ole' Utah, and love it there! I love singing, theater, cars, my family, and movies. I am currently serving a mission in Canada, and love it! I just like having a fun time, and hanging out with friends. Before I left on my mission I went to a semester of University for a degree in Digital Media, and I am planning on majoring in that, with an emphasis on Film Editing. Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church, because I sincerely believe that it is Christ's church established once again on the earth with a living prophet who converses, and obtains revelation from God for his children. I was born into the church, but there came a time in my life where I had to take the challenge that the prophet Moroni gives about how to find out if The Book of Mormon is true, and if Joseph Smith really did see God The Father, and Jesus Christ Moroni 10: 3-5. So I prayed just as Moroni challenges us to do, and I got an overwhelming feeling that it was true. that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That Joseph Smith really did see God, and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove, that The Book of Mormon is true, and that there is a living prophet once again on the earth to lead and guide his children. I have found so much guidance and peace as I have followed the gospel of Jesus Christ, and pray for guidance in my life. I am so thankful for the things that I now know because of the opportunity I took to pray. I'm not perfect by any means, but I strive to do my best to follow Christ, and live the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Christ as best I can, I'm not perfect, but I try my best. I also live my faith, by trying to share it with others whenever I get a chance.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is how you have come to know that something is true. Usually it is centered around a gospel doctrine. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

ha ha, no. There is nothing secret going on in the temple. We just believe that the work done in temples is sacred. We also believe that it is The House of The Lord, and that you have to be worthy to enter it. Being worthy means being morally and spiritualy clean. Any member of the church who is old enough, and is worthy to go to the temple can go. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

ha ha, hmm... the Mormon lifestyle... well. We just love to have fun. We love to spend time with our families, because family is one of the most important things in the church. We don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or anything like that. I would say that for my family at least, we just love to have fun, and spend quality time together, and support each other in our activities. We are also very dedicated to the gospel, because we want to follow the Savior. So don't be surprised to see Mormons at church every Sunday, because we consider church to be very important. But if I were to sum it all up in a sentence, I would say we just like to have good, clean fun! Show more Show less
