Hi I'm Jim

I grew up in Montana, Washington and the San Francisco Bay Area. I recently retired from public administration work. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and a father of 12 children, am retired from public administration in the US government, Los Angeles County and in Fremont County, Idaho, with a master's degree in Public Administration. I served as a missionary in Paris, France.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 7th generation member of the LDS Church who has always had a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel as taught by modern prophets. I have felt the Spirit testify to me many times in many situations that God lives and He restored His church to the earth in our day. I try hard to live by the Savior's word each day, knowing that He answers prayer and lifts us up.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sabbath day, visit members in their homes, and encourage members to seek after their family roots and go to the House of the Lord. I study the scriptures daily individually and with my family. I participate in French records extraction of vital records from Belgium, France and Canada. I volunteer at the local Family History Center. I volunteer in a nearby temple.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jim
Our Church President is a living prophet. The Spirit has testified to me that our Prophet speaks for God. . Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Jim
Since the late 1800's the Church has not performed polygamous marriages because the Prophet, as the Lord's representative on earth today, withdrew permission. We believe in following the laws of the land and are in compliance with the US Supreme Court's ruling world-wide. Show more Show less
