Hi I'm Amber

I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the southwest and left home to go to college and study illustration. After graduation I worked as a graphic designer creating product labels and then as the art director for a family magazine and women's magazine. After working for four years I met my husband who was attending graduate school. When we had our first child I quit my job to stay home with her. I now have seven children. I love being a mom!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me the gospel in our home. Over the years I have come to know for myself that Heavenly Father is real. He loves me and he has a plan for me. He answers my prayers. I know he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to overcome death and sin so I can live with him again. Knowing there is a purpose to my life helps me in every decision I make.

How I live my faith

Every day we pray with our children and read the scriptures with them. Once a week we have family home evening where we sing, learn about the gospel, have a fun activity and eat treats. We go to church together as a family. Our family tries to follow the example of Jesus Christ by serving those in need. We talk with our children about the challenges they will face as they try to follow Jesus in a world of diminishing morals. We try to make our home a loving, happy, uplifting place.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Amber
Yes! Heavenly Father has provided a way for husbands and wives and their children to be together in heaven. When husbands and wives are sealed together and sealed to their children in temples their relationships can continue into the next life. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Amber
We believe in the equality of men and women. Heavenly Father loves each one of us and has provided a way for all of his children, sons and daughters, to return to live with him again. Part of Heavenly Father's plan is that fathers have the primary responsibility to provide for and protect their families and mothers have the primary responsibility to nurture their children. Husbands and wives are to help each other fulfill these responsibilities. Show more Show less
