Hi I'm Kerry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom to one son. Our family enjoys walking and biking together. My passions are reading, writing, and helping others. I used to work at LDS Church headquarters as an editor for the Ensign magazine and as a casting director for the Audiovisual Department. Through my work experience there, I further developed a deep love for my Savior and His gospel teachings. I also served as a missionary in Paraguay.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this Church because I believe it is true. I have never been led astray by the teachings of our prophet or Church leaders. They teach in accordance with the teachings of our Savior as found in the Bible. Because I am a member of the LDS church, I understand that I am truly a daughter of God and that He has a plan for me. Despite the challenges of life, I have faith in His plan.

How I live my faith

I try to serve those around me on a daily basis. I'm also a leader in Primary, our Church program for children. On a daily basis, I read my scriptures and offer personal and family prayers.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kerry
Currently, we are studying the Old Testament at church. My favorite story is the one about Ruth and Naomi. I'm so impressed with both women they truly love and care for one another. And their devotion to themselves, each other, and their faith is a continual example for me. I've also enjoyed teaching my son recently about the experience of young Samuel responding to the Lord. I was delighted when my son gave a small recant of the story during his Primary class lesson. He understands the importance of willing obedience: Here I am! Send me! Show more Show less
