Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a native Minnesotan. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Minnesota, just outside of Minneapolis. I went to college in Utah and had a great experience. After graduating, I moved back home. I work full-time now and love living near family. Traveling with friends is a great hobby, and when I'm not, I enjoy cooking, reading and sewing. I also work hard to hold the title of "favorite aunt" to my 7 nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially, I was a Mormon because of my family I'm a 7th generation Mormon on both my Mom and Dad's sides of the family. However, as I've become an adult, I have chosen to continue living faithful to Christ's church because of the peace and guidance it gives me in life. It helps me remain optimistic in all things, and is a true anchor in this crazy world. The eternal perspective that comes with a testimony gives great comfort in all things.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a 7 day a week life style. In my work place, my behavior sets me apart from my peers, both in language and behavior no alcohol, coffee, etc. At church I serve others by organizing weekly activities for other young single adults in the area. Being around others of the same faith helps strengthen one's resolve and testimony. Each Sunday our worship services provide a wonderfully uplifting and spirtually renewing experience, and is a highlight of my week.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Our Heavenly Father has given men and women eternally different, but very much in harmony, roles. The role of a mother is perhaps the most influential role in the world. Women also serve in various roles in the church, including important leadership roles. Show more Show less
