Hi I'm Laura

I believe that God has a plan for me and my family that is everlasting. I believe that life and love never end. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my late 20's and living in Minnesota. I am married with no children. I work retail, and I ACTUALLY enjoy it! I like helping people in a lot of different capacities. I love getting together with friends and playing games; card games, video games, anything! I love to laugh and to make others laugh. Sometimes I can be sarcastic, but I always try to be kind. I love my husband and my nieces and nephews. My favorite place to be is wherever my family is.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS/Mormon church, but didn't go as much as when I became an adult. Deep down the teachings of the church always made sense to me and stuck with me. Whether I chose to follow them or not, they were still true and gave my life direction, purpose, and meaning. Shortly before my wedding my father encouraged me to share my testimony with my fiancee. "If you don't tell him your feelings for the church, you will be hiding something from him. And you do not want him to think that you are hiding something that you are not." So I shared with my fiancee what I knew. I knew that God answered my prayers. I knew that God loved me and that I was his daughter. I'm sure whatever I said didn't mean as much to my husband as what it meant to me. It renewed my faith, and helped me realize that the hole in my heart was due to my lack of participation in the church. Shortly after our wedding my husband asked to meet with the missionaries and was baptized a few weeks later. To me the church makes sense. Following Jesus Christ has changed my life. It has made me a better daughter, sister, wife, and friend. The teachings of Jesus Christ focus on love. And love will change you. Love will change the world.

How I live my faith

Currently in the church I work with the 12-18 year old girls in our congregation. Specifically with the 14 and 15 year old girls. We do weekly Sunday meetings and lessons and activities on Wednesday nights. I love working with these lovely young ladies! I learn of their problems and trials in their lives and I definitely get strength to deal with my own problems from working with them. I have had the opportunity to go on many trips and outings with the 12-18 year old youth in our congregation.
