Hi I'm Annie

I am a mom, a wife, a photographer, a crafter and sewer, and a friend.

About Me

I am a born and raised Alaskan living here with my husband and four children. I am a photographer, a crater and sewer, a baker, a friend. I enjoy exercising and finding quick projects to do online. I enjoy good books and like to play outside with my family-if it's not too cold.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised LDS and truly found my testimony as a teenager. Although immature and juvenile, it set a foundation where I could make mistakes, learn, and grow in the gospel and in my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I chose to marry in the temple to a worthy priesthood holder who has helped me and our family to stay grounded. We are always trying to be our best, as a family and as individuals.

How I live my faith

I try to be real with everyone I meet. They know I'm Mormon by the way I talk about my life. Being a Mormon isn't just for Sunday- it's who I am every day of the week. I try to be a good friend and try to serve others as much as possible.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not! We try to be like Jesus in all we do and help anyone and everyone in need. It's not enough to just serve those within our circle of comfort or familiarity. We must learn to love and serve everyone as Christ teaches us. The major relief efforts and the minor acts of service are geared towards bettering the life of all people and not just those that we see on Sunday at church. Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

A Mormon Church is where we meet for our Sunday services. It's where we partake of the sacrament to renew our baptismal covenants. We also participate in Sunday School and Relief Society or Priesthood meetings. It's where we gather weekly. Visitors are welcome to join us for any of these meetings. A Mormon Temple is where we go to make covenants with our Heavenly Father. It's where we perform priesthood ordinances and learn about our eternal relationship with our Heavenly Father as well as our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is truly the House of the Lord. Only worthy members of the church are allowed to enter to fully participate in the Temple. Show more Show less
