Hi I'm Stew!

I'm a financial adviser, a foodie and a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Spanish Fork, UT, USA. I am married to the sweetest woman in the world. I became a father in 2011 to a cute little girl. I am the uncle to 28+ nephews/nieces (soon to be great-uncle in 2012). I am a financial advisor and love what I do. My wife and I consider ourselves "foodies" (which essentially means we love to make and eat good food). I studied at BOTH Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. My mother is a first generation convert to the LDS Church. I served as an official representative of the church in 2001-03 in the beautiful country of Ecuador, South America.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother is a first-generation convert to the LDS Church. She was baptized at age 16. She has such a firm faith in the Lord and her example of faith has pointed me towards God. At about this same age (38 years later), I sat down to read the scriptures one night in my home. There came into my heart my own personal witness that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. That our Heavenly Father knows me personally. That Jesus Christ loves me and my soul. That Heavenly Father loves all of His children and wants us to return to live with Him. I have never been the same since that night. I feel a burning within my soul to return to live with God after this life is over.

How I live my faith

My wife and I serve as Sunday School Teachers to a group of teenagers in our ward. We team teach together and we love it! We get to prepare lessons together every week and present them on Sunday to the class. We have fun coming up with activities, games, and spiritual lessons that will help these young men and women survive the "real world" during the week.
