Hi I'm Dick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have served my country in the US Navy. !962 - 1967. Upon my return I married my sweetheart in the Salt Lake Temple in September 1968. I have served as a Bishop In the LDS faith. We had 4 children, two boys and 2 girls. My wife and I serve as Temple workers at the Jordan River Temple. We also serve in the WJ Region Special needs program. I'm the YM'S President and my wife is an adviser to a YW's class. We've been retired for the past ten years, and love our lives doing what we love best. We enjoy scripture reading together and on our own. We are campers and enjoy the outdoors and doing dutch oven cooking. I also love to fish and try to take our grandchildren with us . I have a strong testimony of the restored church on the earth and am grateful for the Prophet Joesph Smith having faith to pray for sincere answers concerning our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true and has been restored in these latter days.

Why I am a Mormon

I firmly believe that Joesph Smith was and is a Prophet. He restored the gospel to the earth and brought back the Priesthood keys.Eternal Marriage insures that my family will be together , sealed for all time and eternity in the sacred temples of the world . I know that my Savior Jesus Christ loves me and answers my prayers . I have been a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints . I believe it to be the true church on the earth today . It has made my life full and happy .

How I live my faith

I would hope that all men and women would see the good things I try to do for others. I love all mankind , and know that I need to be a good example of the precepts that the LDS church teaches. I try to serve others and treat others as friends ,regardless of their various faiths, and accept them and their beliefs. We are all Heavenly Fathers children and deserve respect for each other.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joesph. We revere him as Gods Prophet on the earth today who was chosen to restore the true and living gospel. He was chosen to restore the truths that were in the original church during the Savor Jesus Christ's lifetime and was taken away through the great Apostasy. Show more Show less
