Hi I'm Naiomi

I'm a Latter-Day Saint and I love it!

About Me

I am a wife, sister to three wonderful brothers, a daughter, and aunt. I am a nurse by profession and enjoy the blessing of serving our Heavenly Father's children. I love sports, mainly basketball and football but am optimistic in trying any kind of sport. I'm a returned missionary from the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic West Mission. I speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese and enjoy learning other languages. I love learning, learning is a passion for me so i strive to learn more and more each day. Most of all I love my Savior Jesus Christ and His church.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my faith. My parents joined the church in December of 1978 and we have since been blessed to be members of the Latter-Day Saint faith. My parents were at home when two mormon missionaries came knocking on their front door, Elders Palmer and his companion introduced themselves and a special message that grasped my father at the door. My mother at first was not too thrilled of the teachings of the missionaries but, with much study and prayer gained her own witness that the things being taught were indeed true. I know without question that my Heavenly Father knew who my parents were, he sent two mormon missionaries to their home, softened their hearts and blessed not only their lives but, also the lives of their posterity. Because the gospel has blessed the life of me and my family, all of my parent's children served missions for the LDS church. My three older brothers served in California and in the beautiful country of Brazil. I was called to serve in the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic mission from April 25,2007 to November 13, 2008. My mission truly served as a source of rich blessings filled with many challenges and faith building. I know without question that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and it can and will transform your life if you turn your heart to our Savior Jesus Christ. My family was blessed and transformed through the gospel and, I saw that same transformation in the lives of those I taught in the Dominican Republic.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I have served in various capacities such as Relief Society presidencies- our women's organization, branch missionary-missionary efforts, music, ect. Serving in the church is the best way to strenghten your testimony and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You know as you serve others you are ultimately serving Him. I have learned when the Lord calls you to serve, serve with a willing heart and you will be blessed.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Naiomi
To have the gift of the Holy Ghost with us, we can always have his abiding presence as long as we are worthy to do so. This gift comes after an essential step called baptism. After baptism, this sacred gift given from our Father in heaven to us, His children, will serve as a means of guidance in our day to day lives, a shield of protection from danger when needed, and a comforter. One of the greatest blessings I believe we can receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost is to receive a personal witness and to know that Jesus is the Christ. Show more Show less
