Hi I'm Cory

I'm a Fighter Pilot, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married, father of 3, in the military, and always wondering where I will be next, and when I will be home.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have been members of the Church all their lives, and so I grew up in the church. However, when I was 14 I decided to find out if it was true for myself. I do have a testimony that prayers are answered, because at that time I received a witness through the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays. I pray morning and night, and try to pray throughout the day in my heart and mind. I read the scriptures daily. It is prayer and scripture study that help me to better follow the Savior. My wife and I try to teach our children the gospel, through daily prayer and scripture study, and by having a family night each Monday called Family Home Evening. We try to make Christ the center of our family and home.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by the ancient prophets who lived on the American Continent. They were inspired by God, and wrote their testimonies of the Savior. One of the last prophets was named Mormon, and he gathered all the writings into one, which is why it is called by his name. His son, Moroni hid the record around 400 AD. In the early 1800's Joseph Smith was commanded to take the record and translate it, and send it out to all the world as another Testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
