Hi I'm Miriam

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

About Me

I was born in a small farming community called Springvale. Springvale is located in Victoria, Australia. As Springvale grew many different nationalities settled there and now there are no farms left, but has become a thriving community. My father commenced on the steam locomotives as an engine cleaner/fireman, then was successful in obtaing his ticket to become a driver for the Victorian Railways. He was with the Victorian Railways for forty years, during which time he drove, steam locomotives, diesel and finally the electric passenger trains. But his passion was always the Steam Locomotive that he called "The Iron Horse" He died in 2009 in Fern Tree Gully. My Mother was born in Kellerberrin a small town included in the wheat belt of Western Australia. She studied to become a nurse at the age of sixteen qualified as a midwife as well as qualifying as a senior nurse. She died in Mont Park, Victoria, Australia on 13 October 1974. I am married and we have six children and thirteen grandchildren. I left school at the age of fifteen but later in life obtained my Diploma in Printing and Graphic Arts (Digital Production) and now work part-time as Designer. Producing Advertisements for magazines and large format posters. I am also able to design business cards. I joined the church with my family in 1964 and became part of the Dandenong Ward, Fairfield Stake, Australia. In 1969 our family were sealed for Time and Eternity in New Zealand.

Why I am a Mormon

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Our Missionaries are sent out to the world so that every one will get the chance to hear the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have been told that it is our responsibility to "warn our neighbours" and we class everyone as our neighbour. Show more Show less
