Hi I'm Melinda

At "forty-something", I'm trying to finish college before my youngest child does. I'm proud to be a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife and mother of six, striving to find balance between the many activities of a family and the essential things that bring lasting happiness. My schedule fills up with family activities, PTA projects and trying to be a good neighbor.

Why I am a Mormon

Life happens. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives it purpose.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my purpose is to learn of Jesus Christ, then try to live as he lived. That includes caring for sick neighbors, taking meals to friends and visiting them monthly to see how they are doing. In my home, it means reading a book with my young son, phone calls with my daughter in college and weekly letters to support my son on a mission.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

One of the most comforting principles of this church is that families can be together forever. This begins with temple marriage, sealing husband and wife together. My husband is my best friend, and knowing we can be together with our children after this life is a huge comfort. Show more Show less
