Hi I'm Leah

I'm a wife, mother, and daughter. I studied history and religion at LSU. I'm a HAM radio operator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom that loves to do all sorts of crafts. I spend a lot of time in carpool and driving my son to swim practice and boy scouts. I have one degree in History and another in Philosophy of Religion. I love LSU football.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints make sense to me. They are rational to my mind. They answer the questions "Who am I" and "Why am I here?" I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and I am here on this earth to become more like Him.

How I live my faith

My faith encompasses my entire life. In my home, my family prays together and studies the scriptures and the Gospel of Jesus Christ together. We try to serve others as Christ taught. I also serve in my congregation as a youth leader for girls ages 12 to 18. I try to help teach them not only spiritual things, but also life skills to help them as they mature into womanhood. I am assigned to contact a handful of women in the congregation each month to share a spiritual message with them and to make sure they are doing okay. I always try to be there for them if they need help. I try to live the teachings of Jesus Christ no matter where I am or what I am doing. I always try to keep in mind that the people I see everyday, driving down the street, walking through the store, etc., are my brothers and sisters.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Mormons believe that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, and He wants all of us to grow to become more like Him. We are on this earth to get a body, and to learn through our life experiences. Show more Show less
