Hi I'm Laura

Hi, I work as a counselor for youth and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Japan and moved to the United States as a High school student. I've moved quite a bit during my growing up years, I love meeting people and traveling. I make new friends every where I go, and love the chance to catch up with old friends and see where their life journey has taken them as well. I recently graduated college from a small town in Idaho, when I first arrived there for college I was shocked at how isolated the town was but I've gotten used to it and find that even in small towns there is plenty to do as long as you have great friends! After graduating I moved to Pennsylvania and currently working at a locked down facility as a counselor for young women.

Why I am a Mormon

Like a number of members of this faith I was born a Mormon. My Father goes back with generations of Mormons and my mother was a convert to the church in her 20's. At a point in my life I had the opportunity to choose if I wanted to continue on this path or find a different one to follow. Through studying and praying I felt that staying true to the gospel would be best. One of the most important principles in the gospel of Jesus Christ is Repentance. I'm grateful for the opportunity that is given to change to turn away from the wrong and continually try and become a better person. There is much help and support given in the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually trying to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. To show charity, and be compassionate. I work with many individuals that have difficult challenges in their lives and I pray that I can see them as God's children and treat each individual as a precious child of God.
