Hi I'm Tom

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served in the U.S. Air Force as a Public Affairs Officer for just over 27 years. I had the opportunity to serve in Fort Worth, TX Indianapolis, IN Montgomery, AL Washington,D.C. Los Angeles, CA and overseas in the Philippines and Japan. I had two strokes in 2002. Before my strokes I liked to ski, run, go for woodland strolls, and read.

Why I am a Mormon

I was hospitalized for just over two months following my strokes. One night as I lay in my bed almost completely paralyzed on my left side, I asked God if I would ever be able to walk again. I promised I would try to determine His will for me, if he allowed me to do this. To make a long story short, this is how I first became interested in the LDS church. Since then I learned many great spiritual truths, became a priesthood holder, and was married in the temple and sealed to my wife, for time and all enternity. My wife says my strokes where"the best thing that ever happened to us". Fort the first time in our 26-year marriage we're "on the same sheet of paper" i.e. pursuing the same goals. I have to admit I'm happier now than I've ever been.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by keeping the commandments and being the kind of son my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I try to find ways to serve others and do little things which brighten their day. As much as possible, I try to follow in the footsteps of my exemplar, Jesus Christ.
