Hi I'm Denny

I became a Mormon when I was 18. I have a wonderful wife, 4 kids, 5 grandkids. I like all kinds of music and all kinds of sports.

About Me

I am a 60 year old husband, father and grandfather from Spokane, Washington, USA. I've worked for NAPA Auto Parts as a Human Resources Manager for 34 years. I am a sports fan, particularly Gonzaga and BYU basketball, the colleges I attended.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of almost 40 years. As a student at Western Washington University, I was considering entering the clergy as a Lutheran. In my preparation I was curious about the teachings of the "Mormon Church". As I studied this new church's precepts, I came to know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ had been restored to the Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Over the last 40 years, my testimony and conviction of the Restored Gospel has increased a thousand fold. I have been blessed in so many ways because of what I have learned and done as a Mormon. Family is number one for me and I can't imagine how my wife and I could have raised our four kids without the Church.

How I live my faith

I decided many years ago to follow my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, come what my. I have tried and continue to try to do that every day. I have had lots of opportunities to serve others over the years as I had callings in the church and each opportunity has been fulfilling, often challenging, never boring and always educational. My wife and I don't drink or smoke and that, I believe, has kept us and our kids away from the dangers of alcoholism and drug addiction. As a couple, we pray together, read scriptures together and have a oneness in our thinking about many things and I think that has contirbuted to our 34 years of happy marriage.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe in the Bible because the Spirit of the Lord has witnessed the truthfullnes of it to each of us. This is true of other scripture as well, including the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
