Hi I'm Charles

I love juggling, unicycling, basketball, and ping-pong. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am recently married and studying Electrical Engineering at BYU-Idaho. I am 1 of 8 kids, I love my family! I served my mission in Chile, where I learned spanish and daily taught people about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I love sports, basketball, volleyball, football, ping pong, hockey, and snowboarding. Juggling fascinates me, recently I learned how to unicycle.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have always taught me the importance of the Gospel. Their examples inspire me to be better. Every time I pray, read from the scriptures, go to church, or sing hymns, I feel God's love. I know the Book of Mormon is true, just as the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion, it is the keystone of my testimony. In Doctrine and Covenants, section 19, it says 'And of tenets thou shalt not talk, but thou shalt declare repentance and faith on the Savior, and remission of sins by baptism, and by fire, yea, even the Holy Ghost.' The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me every day. I know that if I continually develop faith in Jesus Christ, repent of my mistakes, weekly partake of the Sacrament in Church, and seek unceasingly for the guidance of the Spirit, I will be blessed, and I will be happy. I know He lives, He has restored His Church upon the earth. I know its true.

How I live my faith

Every morning I wake up and pray and read my scriptures before doing anything else, I go to church and Sundays and serve my wife and family. For two years I was able to teach the people of Chile about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is simply the eternally important and basic doctrine that Christ taught during His mortal ministry, faith, repentance, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and persevering to the end. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He loves us, and suffered for us so that he would understand our trials and difficulties, He is our Savior and Redeemer, and if we live His Gospel we will be saved.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk about the principles and ordinances of the Gospel, the Gospel is faith, repentance, baptism, the receiving of the Holy Ghost, and persevering till the end. As we learn about the Gospel and apply it in our lives the Lord blesses us and we are happy. The missionaries will talk of the Gospel because they are representatives of Jesus Christ, they teach what He would teach if He were teaching. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Prophets, just as God revealed His Gospel to the prophets in biblical times, He revealed His Gospel to prophets in the Americas. Many prophets contributed to the records that make up the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith translated the ancient records by the power of God. Show more Show less
