Hi I'm Preston

I like to party. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

Sup, my name is Preston! I was born in Provo, UT, but soon moved to California where I grew up. I spent most of my childhood figuring out who I was, jumping between groups of friends. I hung out with the "skaters and stoners" in middle school, the changed schools to find new friends. I then found some friends involved in "drama," and then realized my best friends were the ones I've known almost my whole life. They are also members! Currently, I am serving as a full time missionary in the Philippines San Pablo Mission and I am having the time of my life! I love teaching the Gospel everyday to the Filipino people! It is so amazing here and I love the Philippines and never want to leave! except to maybe see my family. I love skateboarding, longboarding, music, video games, going to concerts, hanging out, paintball, airsoft, hind n seek, geocaching, ice skating just about anything! I also graduated High School early and started just doing anything I wanted! I worked towards getting my pilots lisence, but never finished. I've memorized the Periodic Table in 3 days I rememeber nothing and started working at Gamestop. I love video games! I really don't know what else to say other than I love life and love living each day to the max! If you're not first, your last!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a memeber because this is what I know. This is what I have known my whole life. Many people think Mormons that have been born and raised in this religeon are only memebers because their parents are, or because they don't know any other religion. But I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's church on the earth today. I know through the Book of Mormon that Joseph Smith is a true prophet. Because he is a true prophet, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church that had God's power and authority that we need in order to receive Salavation. I know that through Christ's atonement, everything will be made right and we can receive peace and hapiness in this life, and in the life to come. And most of all, being a Mormon and living the thigns we believe makes me the happiest person in the world!

How I live my faith

I live every day as best as I can. Sometimes we fall and make mistakes, psshh we are human! But I try and live the things I learn in the church. The things I have learned from the Book of Mormon and the Bible help me be a better person each day. I share the gospel with as many people as I can. Many people say, "Oh, I have faith, I will be saved." And they do nothing! That is so frustrating to me! If you truly have faith in Christ and believe in what he has taught, you will follow him. So everyday, I strive to follow Christ and his example through my everyday actions.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

The church teaches that baptism is a saving ordinance that every person needs to go through in order to enter into the Kingdom of our Heavenyl Father. Baptism isn't something that should be taken lightly, but is avaiable for all. Through modern day revalation, we have learned that the appropriate age of baptism is 8 years old and above. When we are baptized, we need to be baptized by somebody holding the power and Preisthood of God. This can only be found in this church and through this power, we can become clean and have our sins washed away. Show more Show less
