Hi I'm Karin Elizabeth

I'm a stay-at-home mom to 5 children. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children under the age of 10. I am a voracious reader of most anything. I am a dancer. I am a college graduate in English. I am an international traveler to China, Russia and Taiwan. I am the oldest of 7 children. I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The priesthood, living prophets, the Book of Mormon and modern-day revelation have all been restored to the earth. These things bring me peace and direction and testimony that there is a greater purpose to my life and hope to continue on in faithful living.

How I live my faith

In my congregation, I currently teach the 10 year olds every Sunday. We are studying the Old Testament. I love being able to teach them the stories of the Bible prophets. My husband has been the Bishop of the ward congregation for 3 years now and still going strong. In my day-to-day living, I live my faith by having consistent personal scripture study of both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also have daily personal prayer. And then I try to keep my actions consistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ as I interact with others and with my children and spouse.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Karin Elizabeth
Including Jesus Christ in my relationship with my children and spouse gives me an added perspective that helps me weather tough times. Let's face it, life is not always easy and relationships can sometimes be tricky. Knowing that God cares about my relationship with my husband gives me comfort and confidence. I know that He wants our marriage to succeed and to be strong and fun and fulfilling. Its the same way with my relationship with my children. When I rely on the guidance of my Father in Heaven, I am a better, more patient and loving mother and wife. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Karin Elizabeth
The best way to learn about the Mormon church is to talk to an active member. Most active members will be more than happy to answer questions and share their feelings about the church. If you don't know any members of the church, the phone book will usually have a listing for a local congregation or you can request, on websites like this, for missionaries to visit you. They will answer your questions and can introduce you to other members. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Karin Elizabeth
No. We respect and honor him as the first prophet in this dispensation of time, who restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth, but we don't worship him. We solely worship Jesus Christ, who is our Savior and Redeemer and the head of our church. Show more Show less
