Hi I'm Kevin

I am a husband, father, marketer and I'm a Minnesota Mormon.

About Me

I am a Midwest boy who has a love for all that is good with the world. I am passionate about camping and having adventures when we can get away. I enjoy tinkering with new skills and hobbies. There is something about learning to do something for yourself that you may not have been able to do previously, that gives me great satisfaction. I am a communicator by trade however I am a son, a husband, a father, an outdoor enthusiast and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church with a mother was also born into the Church. My father was baptized at 17 as he and his older brother were the first in their family to join the Church. With this being stated, it isn't as simple as being born in the Church. My belief in this faith is founded on spiritual experiences and promptings over my lifetime that have confirmed that this Church is true. This Church is lead by the resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the Redeemer of the world, the Son of the Living God. There IS a living prophet on the Earth today. He speaks with God and teaches us principles to live in a world so confused by popular opinion. The focus is to have lasting happiness in this life and the life to come. It is not to remove the tough things of life but to make us stronger.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith on a daily basis. This means reading scriptures and having personal prayer. Looking for opportunities to have a spiritual experience. Sometimes it is to just focus on the spiritual lessons being taught in the world around me. I actively serve as a member of the ward's bishopric. There are a lot of parts to this, of which, I am still very much learning. To name an area of focus, I serve to support my local congregational leader (bishop) by supporting various organizations within our ward(congregation). This means meeting with the young women's and young men's groups and helping with activities and planning. This could mean preparing to teach a lesson on Sunday or attend a Wednesday night activity with the youth. It is amazing to associate with the youth in the ward and feel of their raw energy for life. Probably the most important way I live my faith takes place within the walls of my own home. There, in the privacy of my own house, my wife and I work hard to set an example of living the gospel, positively living life the way it was intended to be lived. By doing so we hope that our children will seen and learn the tools necessary to have lasting happiness in this life as well as the life to come. I live for my family; heavenly, earthly, eternal.
