Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up Jewish. I learned to love God and to seek him out. I love traveling, cooking, and building relationships. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a Conservative Jewish home to good people who have given of their time and means to bless my life. I served for over 20 years in the army, and retired a short time ago. Now I do professional development training for a host of organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

I visited many churches and investigated many different religions over the years. I have found that the Latter-day Saint church to be the most complete as far as answers about God and His purposes. The most amazing thing to me is that God doesn’t just expect us to obey without thinking about it. He expects us to find out for ourselves.

How I live my faith

I help introduce people to the Church. Living your faith is a daily process of commitment, repentance, and following the direction of the Holy Ghost. I know that God doesn’t put us here just to try to fend for ourselves. He has a purpose for our lives. He gives us guidance and direction. When we follow that guidance and are faithful, He helps us to accomplish what he asks us to do. He magnifies us, and helps us to overcome our weaknesses. There is a saying that God can do more with your life than you can. It’s true. Whatever you do in life, always give the Lord equal time.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

The Word of Wisdom is God’s code of health for His children. He established it long before we had sophisticated medical science and research. The Word of Wisdom is not just about what you cannot do; more importantly, it’s about the blessings we can receive by keeping our bodies and our minds clean. We receive power and knowledge to make good decisions. I believe that most health issues can be prevented if we will but take responsibility for our health and seek to live life to the fullest.
