Hi I'm Tom

I live in Minnesota. I am a father of 5. I enjoy sports and work as a manager in a fitness facility. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 kids. I work as a manager at one of the twin cities premier fitness clubs. Our family loves to do activities together. Our favorite vacation is going to Boundary Waters every summer. We also love our trips to DisneyWorld. We love the Minnesota Vikings. Our kids play sports such as Cross Country, Football, Track, Wrestling and Basketball. We love all of the Jordan High School Sports. I frequently coach youth baseball, softball and football. My wife and I struggle to spend enough time alone with so many activities in our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Mormon Church. I was raised Catholic and attended Catholic Church from K-8th grade. The thing that was most impressive to me about the Mormon Church is their take on families. The Church teaches that families can be together eternally, and are not only together "till death do us part" This was very important to me as I have known since youth that families are the most important part of my being. I know Heavenly Father sent me to this earth to find a wife and to raise children.

How I live my faith

I attend Church Services every Sunday. Our family prays together at every meal and in the evenings together. I am in involved with the 12-18 year old mens organization called Young Mens, and we meet every Wed to work on religion studies, or hold Boy Scout meetings. My wife and I attempt to set aside time each Friday for a date. We recognize the importance of working on our relationship.

Are Mormons Christians?

I get this question frequently. YES, Mormons are Christians. The actual name of the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although, in addition to the Bible, we have another set of scriptures called the Book of Mormon, Jesus is central to both sets of scriptures. As the Old Testament waits and anticipates Jesus arrival and the New Testament is about Jesus ministry on earth, the Book of Mormon covers both aspects. Together the Bible and the Book of Mormon give an excellent account of Jesus and his ministry and purpose on the earth. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Absolutely not. This is probably the largest misconception of our Church. Their are churchs with similar beliefs and names that practice polygamy, but it is absolutely outlawed in our Church and in our Country. Show more Show less
