Hi I'm Simon

I live in Provo Utah and I run a Cupcake Cafe called The Cocoa Bean. Yummy cupcakes! : I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newly wed man as of Dec. 5, 2009 to a beautiful young lady named Kristen. I love to fish and be outdoors, but I am also kina a nerd and I like to play my video games. lol. I have a passion for food, and I love to cook. One of my dreams is to own my own restuarant!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its what brings me the joy in my life. I was raised Mormon, but at the age 17 is when I found out for myself that I knew this is what I wanted in my life. After I knew that this is what I wanted in my life, I wanted everyone else to find and enjoy this great joy and happiness. I served a 2 year mission to share the gospel to the people of San Bernardino California from the years 05'-07'. These 2 years were some of the best. About 2 years from returning home from my mission, I met a young lady named Kristen. I was able to share the gospel with her. In May 2009 I baptized Kristen. What an awesome blessing to see her new joy in life! Kristen and I became so close that in September of that year, I asked Kristen to be my wife. We where married in December of 2010. My testimony of the gospel grew even more with Kristen as we prepared ourselves to be sealed for all time and eternity in the house of the Lord also known as our temples. In June of 2010 Kristen and I went to the temple. This is what its all about! Being happy and knowning you are doing what is right in life. I know the Lord is pleased with my choices that I make. I know that the Lord wants us to be with our familys forever! I love my Family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my actions each day. I believe that its more than just going to church each Sunday. Its a way of life. One thing that I do get to do in the church is I have 2 Familys that I get to go and visit each month in their homes. I go with a partner/ companion, and we visit with the family and see if they are doing well or if we can do anything to help them. We also share a short spiritual message with them. We leave the home by saying a prayer and asking the Lord to bless and watch over each member of the house. I also have members of the church come and do the same for me in my home. Its nice to know that others care around you. I know I can call them at any time for help and they would be there.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

If you want to know if the gospel of Jesus Christ is really true, then you are going to have to do some work and exercise faith. I would strongly suggest that you obtain a copy of the book of mormon and read the Introduction to the book. Especailly pay attention to the last 2 paragraphs. Second, read 3 Nephi Chapter 11. Third, ready Mornoi 10:3-5. Moroni makes us a promise. He tells us in those versus that if we really want to know if something is true, that we need to pray and ask God. I could tell you all day that The Book of Mormon is true, but until you ask God and find for yourself, you will never know. Once you Pray and ask God, if you recieve good feelings, that is the spirit telling you that it is true. If the book of mormon is true, then Joseph Smith is a true prophet. And if Joseph Smith is a true prophet, The the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church. Show more Show less
