Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married since 2001 and have four children and a Yorkshire Terrier. I studied anthropology as an undergrad at BYU and later earned my MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. I currently work in the publishing industry. When I am not working, I enjoy going on dates with my wife, playing with my kids, flyfishing, hiking, or just relaxing with my guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

In a world of shifting values, politics, and vanity, I find the gospel of Jesus Christ to be the one true constant. Numerous experiences in my life have impressed upon me that Christ knows who I am. He knows me far better than I know myself. Each of these experiences, especially the difficult ones, have solidified my desire to anchor myself to Christ so that no matter which way the world turns, I will always be where He is.

How I live my faith

I travel frequently with my job. Quite often I find myself in scenarios where I am encouraged to deviate from my chosen lifestyle of abstaining from alcohol, coffee, and tobacco. In these circumstances, the gospel of Jesus Christ has enabled me to simply and politely refuse these offers and still continue with the business I have been charged with completing. To me living the gospel is not something to be done on Sunday, but rather something I live daily.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I served as a missionary because I felt, and still feel, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest message the world could hear. To know that our Heavenly Father loves us, has a plan for us, and wants us to live with him again is amazing. Far too many people do not realize that they are a son or daughter of God with a divine destiny. Just this simple truth can change the world. Show more Show less
