Hi I'm Jeff

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I love to help people become successful. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Texas, raised in Arizona. Served a mission for the Church in Mexico. I've worked all over the country while attending school. I graduated with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business Management. I love God, I love people, I love life, I love liberty, and I love my work. I run a marketing and web development firm and love serving my clients and helping them become more successful.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of my life. It always has been since I was a child. I come from a family who joined the church many many years ago. They were converted by the Spirit of God and have left a legacy of faith for me and my family to follow. Every day as I strive to live the gospel more fully and seek to repent and become more like Christ, the truthfulness of this work goes deeper into my soul. I know that God lives, He is our Father. Jesus Christ, His Divine Son, is the Redeemer of all mankind, the Savior of the world. They came to a boy named Joseph Smith in the spring of 1820. Joseph was called to be a prophet and he restored Christ's Church in these latter-days. I bear witness that this is true. To help us along our mortal journey back to the presence our Heavenly Father and our Savior, God has called many witnesses to testify of His Son and teach the eternal, unchanging truths of the gospel. These prophets are the authors of holy scriptures that teach us these truths. I know the Bible is the word of God. God's ancient prophets in the Western hemisphere also taught and testified to the people here, these divine teachings are found in the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ. By studying the words of these books we will come to know our Savior and will gain a testimony of Him and His gospel, the way of truth and life. God has called prophets in our day who have been given the authority to guide and direct His Kingdom here on the earth. These humble men serve as witnesses of the name of Jesus Christ to all the world. The Savior has called Thomas S. Monson as the current prophet and he presides over Christ's Church. President Monson has a deep and abiding love for the Savior and for all of God's children. I bear my witness that I know that President Monson is the prophet of God on the earth today. I invite you to search the scriptures and listen to the teachings of God's modern prophets. If you will humble yourself and become an honest seeker of truth, you too will know these things to be true, just as I do.

How I live my faith

It is one thing to know the truth, and it is another thing to live by those principles. The deeper the testimony and the stronger the conviction of the truth the easier it is to live life the right way. Serving God and serving others is the best way for me to keep my life on the right path. At times, this can be difficult because of so many demands on my time and attention I'm sure that everyone experiences this, but making a conscious effort to put God first in my life has made all the difference. In the Church we have a lay ministry and so there are many opportunities to teach and to serve. Being able to serve in the church has brought me great joy and allowed me to grow in ways I could not have been able to in any other way. Over the past several years as I have been in college I have had the great opportunity to attend meetings with other singles and have had the blessing of worshiping God in a community of strong, righteous people who I call friends. Trying to live God's standards during the 20 something years is challenging because so much evil in the world targets people my age. The strength I gained from having close acquaintances with so many good people has made a tremendous difference for me. These good Saints have changed my life and taught me lessons that will allow me to lead a joyful and successful life and to one day soon have a beautiful and happy family. Along those same lines I have the support of a wonderful family network of parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins who help me when times are hard and who lift me up when times are nearly impossible. This has come because of the sacrifices and diligence of many ancestors who made teaching the gospel to their families a priority. I invite you to be the one to change your family tree and bring these blessings into the lives of your current family and all your descendants.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. Even in the times of Christ, the people readily believed in Moses and Abraham and other prophets of ages past, but the rejected anything new and refused to believe in the prophets who were in their midst. In reading the New Testament this is very clear, Christ was rejected by the people and so were those He called to lead His Church after He returned to be with His Father, namely Peter, James, John, Paul, and all the others. It is only to be expected that people today would feel this same way. Here is an excellent discourse on the topic of modern prophets - Profile of a Prophet, http://speeches.byu.edu/reader/reader.php?id=8853&x=19&y=10 Read this and ponder in your heart what you believe, and then ask God for yourself to know what He wants you to believe. If you are willing to exercise your faith, you will come to know that God has called prophets in your day to teach you. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in “eternal life?”

When Christ prayed to His Father, He said the following - "Father, the hour is come glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:1-3 And again the Master told Nicodemus: "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:14-16 The question of 'why do you believe in eternal life' is answered by the truth that we are eternal beings and will always continue to be. The question of 'what is eternal life' is answered thus: God having all power chose to create His children and give unto them a way to inherit eternal glory. He made this possible through His Plan of Happiness - the creation of the earth, the fall, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Now we are here as willful participants in this glorious plan, and if we follow Jesus Christ and embrace the fullness of His gospel we shall become "heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
