Hi I'm Brandon

I'm an average guy. I have average problems. I enjoy extreme blessings. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a husband and father of three great kids. I have a graduate degree in finance. I own a small business. I work hard every day to be a contributing member of my community. I believe my faith in Christ allows me to roll with the "punches" of life. Though life is challenging, my wife and I are happy. We have direction and purpose that help guide us in how we parent, socialize with others and put or skills and abilities to work for others. Life truly is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I have considered many other "churches". I am an acitve Mormon because the doctrine provides answers that are clear and when pondered with a measure of faith they are logical. Further, I am a Mormon because I have asked the tough questions and recieved the heartfelt answers.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in my congregation. I visit some members of the congregation in their homes. I pray with my children daily. I read the scriptures with my children daily. I love and support my wife. I strive to have a relationship with my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Missionaries serve for 2 years generally starting at age 19. They are encouraged in their youth to save sufficient funds to cover the expenses. The church has done a great job understanding the expenses of each potential location of service. On average, the monthly cost is between $300 and $400 per month. If the missionary has been unable to save sufficient funds then families are invited to help. If necessary, members of the missionary's home congregation are also invited to assist. Generally, members of the church are generous with their contributions and will often contribute to a general missionary fund used to fill in the budget "gaps" throughout the global missionary effort. What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mormons tend to be well rounded individuals. We have family responsibilities, work responsibilities and church responsibilities. We typically prioritize in that order. We value building family relationships and try to devote our time and resources to our family members. We believe in a fair day's wage for a fair day's labor. We work hard to provide for the needs of our families and others who we are able to serve. We strive to live a life that would please our Heavenly Father believing that thereby we can be better able to feel and hear the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Also, we enjoy having fun with friends and family. We enjoy the arts, sports, music, outdoor activities, and exploring our own talents. I personally enjoy camping and motorcycle riding. However, you will not find me at a rated R movie or in a bar. The mormon lifestyle is fairly easy to live. Show more Show less
