Hi I'm Tanya

I am a full-time homemaker and life-long student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother to six uniquely wonderful children and twelve adorable grandchildren. I love to organize my home and family activities. I appreciate anything beautiful--nature, architecture, decorating, clothes. I have a wonderful network of family and friends and enjoy time spent with them. I am passionate about studying and learning and I work hard at staying healthy. I enjoy writing, teaching, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and gained a love for the gospel at a young age and discovered the value of it in my life. My testimony continues to grow as I study and serve. All of my experiences and study has solidified the truth of the gospel of my Savior Jesus Christ. I have often had so many powerfully spiritual experiences that I could never deny the truth that I have found. Especially in my most trying moments in life, I have discovered the powerful truth of gospel teachings and the dramatic support and direction that I receive from my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I practice daily habits that help me feel closer to my Heavenly Father such as praying, scripture study, and journal writing. I attend church on Sunday and participate in teaching young women as well as attending youth activities in the middle of the week. I also participate with other women in socializing and serving. I feel a great responsibility to do whatever I can to make valuable contributions in home, family, church, and community.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

I believe that because all men and women will make mistakes and thus not be qualified to live with Heavenly Father on their own merits, that we need our Savior, who is without sin, to pay the price for our individual sins so that we may repent and be forgiven and thus be worthy to live with Him again. For me, knowing I have a personal Savior gives me hope and courage. Show more Show less
