Hi I'm Verena

I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a homeschooling mom of six children. I love hiking, biking, reading, and writing. My children and I teach English to Chinese kids here in China, and I'm passionate about strengthening communities of families and mentors that help learning and growing together happen in powerful ways.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon gives me the tools to become the very best ME that God wants me to be. It offers me hope and teaches me to see and feel God's hand in my life. It provides me with a powerful connection to my Savior and the Salvation that He offers me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the children at church and others in my Ward family. We read our scriptures together as a family, and we pray together. My husband and I attend the temple at least monthly. We teach our children to be obedient to God's commandments and to follow His prophet on the earth today. We pay our tithes to the church, and we contribute to Charities as often as we can. I work hard to continually renew the covenants made at baptism and in the temple so that I can be a worthy instrument in His hands.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know Mormonism is true by reading and studying the Book of Mormon along with the Bible. You should ask God with a sincere heart if the words of the Prophets in the Book of Mormon are the word of God, and you should act on the promptings you feel in your heart. Show more Show less
