Hi I'm Tammi

I'm a wife, a mom, a teacher, a leader. I'm fun, active, happy, and kind. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Teaching 2nd grade is where you'll find me during the school year. In the summer, hopefully I'm traveling or playing at home with my family. They are the most important thing to me and I feel so blessed to know that, in the big picture, that's all that matters. I enjoy baking, cooking, traveling, making home movies, singing, exercising, teaching myself new things on the computer and admiring the beauty of God's creations around me each day.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born into a Mormon family - and that's how my testimony developed. I'll never forget one day in Primary as we sang "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" I had the most beautiful feeling overcome my whole body. I could not deny the truth of that song. From that moment on, I have had such a strong testimony of Joseph Smith and his beautiful role here on Earth. As I entered into the Young Women's program and learned about my divine nature...I again got that incredible feeling and KNEW that I was a daughter of God. I KNEW that he knew me and loved me. I'm a Mormon now because I know that Jesus suffered and died for me. I know that Joseph Smith restored the church and the priesthood on the Earth in these latter days. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet who helps guide us amidst all the evil the world has to offer and he helps us to pay attention to the beautiful things around us. I'm a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to live my faith by setting a good example to all those I come in contact with. People are always asking me why I'm so happy all the time...I attribute it to my knowledge that I am a Daughter of God and he loves me. If I'm feeling unloved by others, I try not to let it get me down. I move forward knowing that the trivial things here in this life aren't going to last forever. If I try to be patient and endure through the rough patches of life by having a positive attitude, it really helps me. I also have the beautiful blessing of working with the young women of our faith. Teaching them each week and participating with them in other activities helps me to share my testimony with them. They are amazingly strong and have such great leadership skills. I believe that with our future in their hands - we will see great things.
