Hi I'm McKay

I grew up in California. I'm a college student studying public relations, I love sports, I'm a husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student studying public relations. I love sports, basketball, baseball, soccer, football, anything. I served a two-year mission in the greater Tacoma, Washington area. I like the outdoors: camping and making bonfires are always fun. I'm happily married to a beautiful woman.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because I am happy. My parents raised me in this church, but I chose to keep following it because of the way it makes me feel. When I was in my teen years I was challenged to think about the beliefs my parents had taught me. I eventually chose to keep following it because when I was learning about church things and when I was at church activities I felt really, really good. I asked God if this path was right. My answer to my prayer was not an audible or visible sign, but it was a good feeling. I also read the Book of Mormon. I found that when I read this book, I feel closer to God. This always helps my day go better. My knowledge of these teachings helps keep in perspective what is important in life.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. My wife and I are new to our congregation. We have learned that the church can become a family as long as we put forth some effort to fellowship with our brothers and sisters.
