Hi I'm Chaela

I'm 24, a music elitist, a daydreamer, and a Mormon. And I totally dig it.

About Me

I love concerts, typography-based design, talk radio, ping pong, cooking, power tools, and wearing really high heels. I dream to be a way-awesome Mom to a bunch of kids, a stellar wife, a life-changing teacher and a really hip old lady. I dream to make the ordinary extraordinary and to exalt the every day. I'm trying to be like Jesus.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in God. I believe that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I believe that He is a God of miracles. Mostly, I believe with my whole self that God is Love (1John 4:8). Because I know these essential truths, I know that God has not forgotten about us. I know that miracles happen today. I know that God and Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith and called him to be a prophet. This was a miracle. The prophet Moses parted the Red Sea, the prophet Noah built an ark. These are miracles. The only difference between Moses, Noah and Joseph Smith is time. What is time but man's grasp at control, anyway? God transcends time. Remember, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God loves me. I am important. God loves you. You are important. He has provided a way for us to know this and so much more. Will you listen? Are you ready?

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Remembering to be a little softer, a little gentler, a little more aware of others and a little less aware of myself. I try to be like Jesus. This is the key.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The purpose of Christ's Gospel is to cleanse people from their sins so they can receive Jesus' mercy at the judgment. My God is a fair God. He will allow everyone the same opportunity to hear and accept His gospel before they are judged based on that acceptance. We proselyte for this reason. We also proselyte because the church has changed our lives. It has helped us find a happiness that we can not describe to you, only show you. We want this for you. It's kind of like when you hear a really great band or try a really delicious new flavor of gum. You want, nay, NEED to share it with others. Show more Show less
